Department of English language
The department was established in the academic year 2002/2003. The department witnessed a qualitative and quantitative development in terms of numbers of accepted students, graduates and teaching staff. The department aims to absorb and develop the latest methods of learning and teaching foreign languages using modern technology, which consists of owning one of the most advanced language laboratories in Iraq. The department awards two degrees to its graduates. In addition to the Bachelor of Arts in English, the department offers a diploma in one of the major European languages. The department has a large number of scientific and research publications. The department has made many valuable contributions to the community service through training courses and workshops at the college and university levels.
