Research activity of the college

 

International universities tend to document their scientific output represented in research outputs from published scientific papers, books, theses and patents, in order to enable them to follow up, evaluate performance, and link it to the university's strategic plan. Therefore, we found it important to highlight the research activity of our college in terms of scientific research because of its great role in supporting the academic scientific process in the field of computer science and various information technology.

 

Contributions of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology to scientific activity

The fluctuation in publishing research in Iraqi, Arab and international journals that do not have an impact factor during the past years

 

The increasing publication of research in Iraqi, Arab and international journals with impact factors during the past years

 

The above figures show a clear increase in the number of research published in international journals with an impact factor for this period from research in 2006 until it reached 69 research in 2020 and it is hoped that there will be an increase in the number of research published in international journals for this year (2022). As for the research published in journals that do not have an impact factor, they are few for Arab and foreign journals. This indicates the researchers' interest in searching for journals that have an important research role globally, which is a positive indicator.

 

 And in an effort from the University of Anbar to highlight the activities of its researchers and their scientific products and honor the distinguished among them. The Hirsch coefficient guide for the teachers of our college who obtained the Hirsch Index (H-Index) came within the (Scopus) container. The guide includes a page for each instructor who has the Hirsch Index (H-Index) containing the name of the instructor and his page on the (Scopus) container.
