Message
Active contribution in the development of the desert environment and it development in such a way that achieves its sustainability goals by adopting the outputs of research and studies in the field of environmental systems, pollution control, environmental balance and natural resources in the desert, providing lab and laboratory and factory services in accordance with international quality standards and contributing in community service and the development of its capabilities.
Goals
1. Conducting studies and research pertaining to combating desertification, developing the desert environment, and exploring natural resources in the Iraqi deserts.
2. Encouraging publications in reputable internationally indexed journals for research and studies within the Center's interests.
3. Developing laboratories and factories in accordance with international standards.
4. Building a foundation for partnerships and relationships at the level of scientific research and consultative services with interested bodies locally and globally.
5. Establishing and/or participating in conferences, training programs, forums and workshops pertaining to the development of the desert environment, combating desertification and maintaining ecological balance.
6. Developing the Center’s capabilities in order to achieve self-financing.
7. Providing support to researchers and postgraduate students at the level of scientific research and to community institutions at the level of consultations and services.
8. Spreading environmental awareness of desert life systems and the dangers of desertification, drought and climatic disasters.
