About the Arabic Language Department

The establishment of the Arabic Language Department coincided with the establishment of the Faculty of Education / Al-Qaim in the academic year 2007/2008, and one of the main objectives was to preserve the language of the Holy Quran and its heritage.

The department offers specialized courses in grammar, literature and Arabic criticism, thus granting a bachelor's degree in Arabic language and literature.

The Department graduated  its first batch in the academic year 2010-2011 and the number of batches that graduated  is seven in the last academic year 2016 - 2017.

The Department seeks to establish a research teaching structure through the teaching of linguistic and literary issues, old and modern, as well as do research on emerging problems in language and literature, holding seminars, lectures, courses, workshops and scientific meetings.

 Structure of the Arabic Language Department

    The Arabic Language Department consists of the following sections:

1. Department Council:

    The department council is composed of members of the faculty in the department headed by the head of the department. Its meetings are periodic and take important decisions related to the department, solve problems and improve scientific and educational status.

2-Head of  the Department:

     The head of the department is the main personnel of the department and its representative in the meetings of the college council and in the official and non-official forums

3- The Department Rapporteur:

    The department's rapporteur is responsible for assisting the head of the department in managing the affairs of the department in the subjects and examinations for preliminary studies and follow-up administrative, and scientific affairs for the department's lecturers as well as the students.

4- The Department Secretariat:

Its mission is to receive the mail and to inform the teachers and students of the directives of the Department and the Deanship.

The department has  a number of lecturers who have doctorate and master's degrees with different scientific degrees (professor, assistant professor, lecturer and assistant lecturer).
