 Anbar University ... the first Iraqi ... the sixteenth in the Arab world ... the forty-third place at the level of universities in the Middle East ... in the field of research output within the SCImago classification of universities in the Middle East, where the Semaco University Rankings (SCImago Institutions Rankings) was launched in a month April 2020 is a ranking of international universities based on three criteria (research output, innovation and societal relationship). Anbar University ranked 343 among international universities in the field of research output, leading Iraqi universities in this classification by advancing to the first place (1) in Iraq. With the continuation of the evaluation processes within the Semaco classification, the classification was launched today 4/11/2020 in a ranking of universities in the Middle East, where the University of Anbar ranked 43 among universities in the Middle East, ranked 16 among Arab universities, and ranked first (1) in Iraq in the field of research output. On this occasion, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. (Mushtaq Talib Saleh), the esteemed assistant and deanships of the colleges, and all the university employees, including researchers, teachers and administrative staff, congratulated Anbar University with this advanced rank in a classification that is one of the strongest international classifications. His Excellency affirmed that this progress is a true measure of the rigidity of the scientific plan prepared and followed within the University of Anbar, praising the distinguished role of the International Classifications Unit and the departments and centers supporting its work in highlighting the university’s output at all scientific,research and societal levels.
