The second conference on the Western desert Geology in a field tour in Anbar

A group of committees that have organized the second conference on the Western desert Geology, which will be held on 17-19 / 11/2020 in the avenues University  of  Anbar, made a field trip to the areas from Ramadi to Haditha to see the most important geological discoveries in the region. The participants were from the universities of  (Anbar - Baghdad - Tikrit),  in addition to the Iraqi Geological Survey Syndicate  and the Ministry of Water Resources.

A group of teaching staff members has made a field modeling in order to conduct researches to participate in the conference.  The most important geological formations that have been viewed are the formation of the aperture, the Euphrates and Ana.

The trip was fruitful and scientific and the geological observations were abounded. It is possible for the teaching staff members  from different Iraqi universities to bring their students in a field trips  to the departments of Geology  and benefit from them. During this trip, also a visit to  Haditha dam was carried out and some eclipses in the area beside a tour to see the effectiveness of restoring life to the waterwheels in the two cities of Haditha and Heet.

We should not forget to express our thanks and appreciation from the participants  to district commissioner  of Haditha, the  Dean of the College of Basic Education / Hadithah and the  Director of Haditha Dam for the generous hospitality, reception and  facilitating the mission of the scientific team.
