The College of Basic Education at the University of Diyala hosted the periodic meeting (the second session) of the Committee of Deans of the Colleges of Basic Education in Iraqi universities for the academic year 2021-2022 on Wednesday, 25/5/2022, and they were received by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. (Rahman Nasser Rashid) and the assistants at the college.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Nasser Rashid gave a welcoming speech to the deans, in which he reviewed the achievements of the university and the college in recent years and the scientific and urban development it has reached.

The President of Diyala University, Prof. Dr. (Abdul Moneim Abbas Karim) stressed in his speech during the meeting the tireless efforts made by the members of the teaching staff in the faculties of basic education during the period of the Corona pandemic and how to attract students and increase the electronic skills of electronic platforms for teachers and students, expressing his happiness with the results. He pointed out the need for concerted efforts, especially in the faculties of basic education, which are graduating a qualified university teacher to practice the teaching process in schools, that the study in the coming period for the next academic year should be in attendance because the education process requires great effort and follow-up On the skill and scientific side, he concluded by saying that the educational institution is the basis for the development of the educational process, and that all university presidents are supportive and supportive of every idea that supports the educational process and its development.

The meeting, which was chaired by the Dean of the College of Basic Education at the University of Al-Muthanna, Prof. Dr. (Mohammed Falih Hassan Al-Jubouri), presented the meeting’s agenda, as the session was characterized by discussions, interventions and constructive suggestions that would improve the reality of basic education faculties like international universities and implement the procedures for performing the attendance exams for basic subjects according to the directives of the Ministry Higher education and scientific research. As well as discussing the unification of curricula in all colleges of basic education at the level of Iraq, and giving powers to university councils regarding the introduction of opening specialized studies in all scientific departments. As well as discussing the issue of setting a date for the establishment of a general international scientific conference with the participation of the departments of the faculties of basic education in all Iraqi universities.

At the conclusion of the meeting session, the attendees praised the development witnessed by the University of Diyala and expressed their admiration for what it had achieved and its comparison with the most prestigious universities in terms of infrastructure, and the high preparations made by the college for the success of the meeting.

In turn, the Dean of the College of Basic Education, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Nasser Rashid, presented the college shield to the deans of the faculties of basic education in Iraqi universities in appreciation of their efforts to support the scientific process in our beloved Iraq.
