  Speech by Center Manager 

With the recent technological development that the world has been witnessing, the impact of modern technology on the performance of firms and institutions cannot be overlooked. This development has helped many institutions manage the various departments in an easier and more effective way. In addition, these institutions started building their management strategies based on information technology, and using this technology in a way that achieves their desired goals. Using modern technologies has become a critical need to the extent that any institution that fails to use these technologies will fail to keep up with the dramatic changes and developments taking place all over the world, and thus will lag behind in all fields of life.

It was necessary to build the Information Technology Center in the University of Anbar in 2007. Since its foundation, the center has an influential role in designing and developing electronic systems that support academic and administrative affairs in the university. The center is always seeking distinction in producing electronic services via providing information and recent technical services to the university and its community. The center aims at electronic leadership to our university   in terms of using electronic services at all levels. This will be done through training students and employees and develop their technical skills to create a community that has the ability to link the scientific, technical and administrative aspects, which will accordingly lead to a successful institution.

On the other hand, the center tries its best to support the collaboration between the university and other civil institutions by foreseeing the ongoing needs of the community and trying to respond back by offering suitable services. The center aims at contributing in upgrading the performance level of institutions via providing training services for staff working in governmental and private sectors to be able to use the computer in performing office work in various institutions.

At the end, I would like to mention the role of the center's employees who have done and are still doing their best and even work outside the official working hours in order to provide every new useful thing to keep up with the technological development and build up a distinct information society, which is capable of using modern computer technologies and applications in the fields of education, scientific research and community service.
