The joint Scientific Conference between the University of Anbar and Salahaddin University

Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Abdul Sahib, and under the slogan (The role of modern agriculture in the development and prosperity of the national economy) and based on the common future vision between the two universities, the College of Agriculture at University of Anbar, in cooperation with the College of Agricultural Sciences Engineering at Salahaddin University, held the First international scientific conference for modern agricultural technologies and in the hall of the Cultural Center at Salahaddin University in Erbil. This conference is considered one of the academic conferences specialized in modern agricultural sciences.
The conference began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, and then the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the Kurdistan Province were played. After that, a documentary film about Salahaddin University was shown, followed by a speech by Prof. Dr. Fattah Saeed, President of Salahaddin University.
After that, the President of the University of Anbar, Prof. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, delivered a speech in which he said, “It is my pleasure today to convey the greetings of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Abdul Sahib. His Excellency congratulated the two universities for this good cooperation, which inaugurated the productive scientific cooperation the Ministry of Higher Education intends to activate with the Ministry of Higher Education in Kurdistan Province". Prof. Dr. Al- Nada stresses that the University of Anbar is keen on constructive scientific cooperation with other Iraqi universities. He elaborated that within its strategic goals, University of Anbar aims to be indexed in world famous classifications. This requires the university to re-evaluate the academic and research plans in a way that ensures the university keeps pace with the global scientific development and to be able to provide the labor market with efficient staff.
Indeed, the university was able to obtain advanced positions in important global rankings. Finally, Pro. Dr. Al- Nada expresses his thanks and gratitude in his name and on behalf of the affiliates of Anbar University to Salahaddin University represented by its President and the Deanship of the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences for the hospitality, and magnificent organization.
A documentary film about the University of Anbar was shown. After that, Dr. Abdul Fattah Abdul Razzaq, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Province Government delivered a speech, in which he indicated that the exchange of scientific experiences among Iraqi universities is conducive to solving the problems that Iraq is going through in all political, social and economic fields and at different levels.
Professor Kawa Abdul Karim Saeed, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at Salahaddin University delivered a speech, in which he indicated that the holding of this conference came after hard work over two years that culminated in the holding of the conference despite the difficult circumstances and obstacles caused by the Corona virus in the past period.
Prof. Dr. Edham Ali Abd, Dean of the College of Agriculture at Anbar University delivered a speech, in which he stated that holding this conference is one of the building blocks of cooperation between the two universities that strengthens constructive agricultural work, which is the first step to establishing life. He further stated that despite the spread of the Corona epidemic, the scientific process will not stop, and hereby we call upon researchers and agricultural staff to uplift scientific research to offer the conference with results and recommendations that can be applied on the ground. Thanks and appreciation to the Salahaddin University and all those in charge of the conference.
Then the President of the University of Anbar, as representative of the Minister of Higher Education, presented gifts to the figures present at the conference. The conference shield was also presented by him to a number of other personalities. In turn, the President of the Salahaddin University presented the conference shield to the President of the University Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada. He also presented a number of gifts to the Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Essam Khedira Hamzah, Prof. Dr. Edham Ali Abd, Dean of the College of Agriculture, the preparatory committees, and participants in the conference.
The conference ceremony was concluded, after which the scientific sessions started in the halls designated in the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at Salahaddin University.
The conference was attended by Dr. Abdul Fattah Abdul Razzaq, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Province, Chairman of the Education Committee in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Chairman of the Erbil Provincial Council, President of Salah al-Din International University, and Mr. Ahmed Kani, official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Erbil.
