A seminar at the University of Anbar on peace building and social security in Iraq in light of the challenges of the Corona pandemic

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, President of Anbar University, the Center for Strategic Studies at Anbar University, in cooperation with the Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, held the third seminar for the 2020/2021 academic season entitled Peace Building  and social Security in Iraq in Light of the Challenges of the Corona Pandemic. The symposium included four aspects, the first entitled The Role of Research centers in achieving sustainable security presented by Professor Muhammad Al-Aqili from Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies. The second aspect came under the title of the role of Anbari women in achieving peace and community security, presented by Prof. Dr. Nasra uhmaid Jadwe, Dean of the College of Education for Girls. The third aspect was titled Anbar University’s role in Achieving societal peace for Anbar province after ISIS was presented by Prof. Dr. Falah Mubarak Bardan, and the fourth one, implications of the Corona pandemic on the security reality in Iraq (a future outlook) by Dr. Moataz Ismail Khalaf.

The symposium, which was held in the College of Arts hall, aims to analyze the field developments of terrorist operations in the time of the pandemic and to elaborate mechanisms and strategies to limit the infiltration of terrorist groups into Anbrian cities and to highlight the role of research centers in achieving sustainable security.

At the conclusion of the symposium, which was attended by Prof. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, the President of the University, the Administrative Assistant, and a number of faculty deans, and a group of professors and students, the President of the University distributed certificates of appreciation to the participants in the symposium.
