University of Anbar got the first rank on all Iraqi universities in the Spanish scimago ranking and 727 globally ... After University of  Anbar was ranked fourth in Iraq and 737 globally last year, it tops Iraqi universities to finish first. Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, (Prof. Dr. Mushtaq T. Al-Nada) explained that University of Anbar has advanced for the past year by (four) ranks at the Iraqi level and (10) ranks at the global level. His Eminence also explained that the Scimago classification is a scientifically accredited classification for the evaluation of international scientific journals, institutes and universities and that it depends on three criteria, namely (scientific research, inventions and community communication of the university) and depends on databases derived from solid scientific sites subject to accurate scientific calculations. Therefore, the arrival of University of Anbar to this rank summarizes the efforts made by University of Anbar employees and researchers in the fields of scientific research and scientific inventions, a consensual process that relies on clear and direct support from the esteemed university presidency.
