The scientific discussion of a MSc student (Nawal B. Maseikh), / Department of Civil Engineering / College of Engineering / University of Anbar, was held about her study:

Investigation of Alkali Silica Reaction of waste glass as

aggregates in foamed concrete

on Thursday, 11/11/2021, at 9:00 am, at Ibn Al-Haytham Hall in the Civil Engineering Department.

The study presented the aims to investigate the phenomenon of alkali silica reaction in foam concrete containing different types of glass waste added as fine and coarse aggregate, glass powder and various chemical compositions of glass in different percentages (0%,25%,50%,75%). Also, to study the effect of adding glass waste on some properties of foam concrete.

The discussion committee consisted of:

- Dr. Ghassan S. Jamil.

- Dr. Amir A. Hilal / member and supervisor.

After an extensive discussion by the discussion committee with the student, the thesis was accepted.

The discussion was attended by Dr. Jumaa A. Al-Sumaidaie / Head of Dams and Water Resources Engineering Department, number of a teaching staff and graduate students in the Civil Engineering Department.
