The Upper Euphrates Center follows up the amounts of rain and torrents in Anbar

 

The Division of Planning and Databases at the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center issued statistics about the amounts of rain and torrents in the Upper Euphrates's valleys during the two days 25-26/11/2022. Dr. (Atheer Salim al-Mawla) who is in charge of the meteorological station said : "The amounts of rain in the city of Ramadi amounted to (8.2 mm)", while Mr. (Ayyoub Yousef Ahmed) indicated : "The amount of rain at the meteorological station in the terminal station in Haditha amounted to (28) mm".

Concerning the quantities of water imports, Dr. Ahmed Saud Muhammad, head of the planning and databases division at the center, stated that "According the measurements of the terminal station in Haditha, the valleys of the Upper Euphrates (Horan, Zaghdan, Banat al-Hassan and Hajlan) recorded the following quantities:

- Horan valley - two million and sixty thousand cubic meters.

- Zagdan Valley - one million six hundred and ninety thousand cubic meters.

- Banat Al Hassan valley - nine hundred and ninety thousand cubic meters.

- Hajlan valley - six hundred and sixty thousand cubic meters.

On the other hand, the engineer (Juma'a Muhamed Ahmed), who is in charge of the terminal station in Haditha, said : 'The torrents of Horan valley are still flowing for the third day, although at a rate lower than the past two days, it recorded at seven o’clock , today morning 11-27-2022, a discharge at a rate of (0.8) cubic meters per second, at the location of the measurement station near the intersection of the valley with the Ramadi-Haditha road".
