UOA Council Holds its 8th Session

Monday, 7/5/2018, UOA council held its 8th session for the academic year 2017/2018. The session was chaired by Prof. dr. Khalid Battal Al-najem , president of UOA. Prof. Al-Najem briefed the attendants on the directions of the minister of higher education & scientific research in the 5th meeting of the opinion body of the ministery held on Thursday, 3/5/2018. Major among these directions are the preparations for the final examinations of the current academic year, furnishing the examination halls with all the necessary means of comfort for students , the emphasis on taking stiff measures against cheating and the rewarding the staff-members who spot cheating cases in the examination halls, and taking all measures to activate the use of solar energy in the universities and the installation of solar system stations in the formations of the ministry to minimize consumption of electricity. Prof. Al-najem instructed the deans of the colleges to seek donations to the university charity fund to secure Iftar meals for students during Ramadan month, which occurs during the final examinations. This goes with the former efforts of the university to provide its students with Iftar meals especially during the hard years of forced displacement. The attendant, later, discussed and made proper recommendations and decisions concerning the items listed on the agenda of the session.
