University of Anbar holds a panel discussion for the development of Horran Valley

 

The Department of Scholars and Cultural Relations in cooperation with the Department of  Dams and Water Resources at the College of Engineering and the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center held a panel discussion under the title ( A Research Proposal for Obtaining the Support of Dutch Novik Organization for the Development of Horran Valley) in the presence of Mr. President of the University of Anbar Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Saleh Al-Neda and Mr. Vice-President for the Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Muthana Mohammed Awad and Mr. Dean of the Engineering College in addition to a delegation from the Ministry of Water Resources and many specialists at the field of water resources, agriculture and environment.

The panel discussion dealt with a research proposal that deals with the best ways to achieve the typical exploitation of the Basin of Horran Valley and means of obtaining the support of the International Organizations concerned in development for it. During the workshop, important debates and discussions have been made by both Mr. President of the University and management officials of the Water Resources Directorate in Anbar Governorate as well as the Director of the Desert Oases in the Governorate and a number of the University of Anbar's instructors.

During the panel discussion, the President of the University directed joining all efforts of the University's affiliates from all formations to support this large project which will serve the Governorate and it is the fourth project that will be supported by the Dutch Novik Organization noting that the University of Anbar is supporting the applied and practical researches with the donors and beneficiaries for the purpose of investing rains water and exploiting Horran Valley at the field of water resources and agriculture to serve Anbar Governorate in general. 

The beneficiaries and the Ministry of Water Resources presented their thanks to the University of Anbar for its scientific, research and applied initiative which supports the society.
