College in Brief: The College of Education for Humanities was established in 1988-1989. It includes six departments: Arabic, English, History, Geography, Qur'an Science and Islamic Education, and Educational and Psychological Science. The College awards Bachelor Degree in the mentioned disciplines in addition to Master and Ph.D in some departments. Objectives:
• Preparing a faculty, trained researchers and educational mentors qualified in all the above disciplines to serve the community. • Providing academic faculties for the Iraqi universities, keeping abreast with the latest scientific and technical technology in all the disciplines studied at the college. • Holding symposiums, lectures, conferences and educational courses in cooperation with the local institutions. • Providing teaching staffs in the mentioned disciplines to work as teachers in the schools and other educational institutions. • Providing educational and psychological mentors for the Ministry of Education to work at the schools as well as other government offices. • Organizing field trips and expeditions for the archaeological sites, the cultural and industrial sites.
