Department of Educational and Psychological Science VISION: Achieving excellence and leadership in education and scientific research locally and internationally. Preparing teachers and researchers specialized in educational and psychological science, keeping abreast of scientific and professional developments and achieving community partnership locally and regionally. MISSION: Training teachers and preparing researchers specialized in educational and psychological sciences qualified with creativity and competition to ensure good performance and achievement of goals OBJECTIVES: The Department of seeks to achieve the following objectives: 1- Contribute to achieve the University objectives of education, scientific research, and community service. 2- Create the appropriate atmosphere which stimulates the students’ creativity and innovation. 3- Prepare the students scientifically, professionally and culturally, enabling them to comprehend the facts, concepts and theories of education and psychology to contribute to educational and scientific research and guidance at the educational institutions of the Ministry of Education and other social, psychological and educational institutions. 4- Provide educational and psychological professionals qualified to lead and resolve problems on scientific criteria. 5- Facilitate the students to apply scientific techniques in solving problems and daily life situations and develop their capabilities to analyze these techniques and the criteria used accordingly. 6- Encourage the students to pursue higher studies and acquire latest developments in the psychological and educational science and research. 7- Offering psychological, educational, guidance and vocational services for the students and citizens of the Governorate,
