Scientific Symposium

 The College of Law and Political Science held an electronic scientific symposium entitled (Vaccination against epidemics between compulsion and permissibility, “Corona Virus as a model”) via the (Google Hangouts Meet), on Tuesday, 1/6/2021 , and it consisted of three Themes are:

1/ The medical axis, delivered by Prof. Dr. (Haitham Noaman, Al-Kubaisi )

2/ The legal axis was delivered by Dr. (Anas Ghannam Jbara)

3/ The axis delivered the Islamic legal ruling, Professor Dr. (Adnan Ibrahim Abdul-Jamili)

Summary of symposium recommendations

-Supporting researchers in order to prove the validity of the Corona vaccine and to show the community that it is a safe and effective vaccine.

-Health institutions and doctors should make a greater effort to educate on the effectiveness of the Corona vaccine against the epidemic, using the media and social media.

-Activating the role of university and school professors and imams of mosques to motivate people in the society to follow preventive measures against the Corona epidemic and to take vaccinations.

-The government has the right to compel its citizens to vaccinate against the Corona virus, if it provided the legal guarantees for citizens to guarantee their rights against any manufacturing error in the vaccines or any medical error in the procedures.

- The orders of the head of state is linked to the public interest, and that this interest requires the approval of medical analyzes before giving vaccines, and ensuring the availability of appropriate conditions for the preservation, transportation and delivery of vaccines to citizens.

- The right of the state should be with observing the preventive measures represented by social distancing, wearing masks and banning gatherings through strict legal and administrative procedures.
