About the Department of Gynaecology & obstetrics

The Department  of Gynaecology  and obstetrics was established in 1991 as a branch of the college  of Medicine. The department took care of Departmentes that teach basic sciences in order to ensure the harmony of the educational process and its development, and contributed to the graduation of three courses of higher diploma students in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. The skills lab was introduced as an integral part of the training, in addition to theoretical lectures, practical training in hospitals and surgical procedures.

Our vision is to make our department one of the most leading academic department in our collage & in the university regarding research , teaching & clinical care.

Mission:

To produce a doctor who is highly qualified with concentration on ethical side in future doctor whom capable to deal with moral side of gynecology & obstetric.

Goals:

1.Enabling medical students of basic knowledge of obstetrics & gynecology & having a strong base in this subject.

2.Usage & application of medicine based on evidence.

3. Giving opportunity for medical students to use the best options in treating patients & improve their abilities & skills.

4.Concentration on continuous self-teaching.

5. Continuous contact between the students & the department even after graduation in order to continue teaching process.
