 Vision, Mission, and Objectives

Vision: The vision of the department revolves around making it distinguished in providing the highest level of education in clinical pharmacy, keeping pace with scientific advancements, adhering to international quality standards, and working diligently to graduate a staff of competent pharmacists in the clinical field capable of actively contributing to comprehensive healthcare.

Mission: The mission of the department is to explore new research horizons in the field of clinical pharmacy, and graduate pharmacists with sufficient theoretical knowledge and practical skills to efficiently perform their assigned tasks in medical units, hospitals, and other healthcare settings. Additionally, it aims to elevate healthcare standards in Iraq by actively participating in improving therapeutic services for patients through collaboration with healthcare facilities and practitioners. This includes optimizing drug utilization to maximize benefits and minimize adverse effects through the selection of appropriate drugs, dosages, and administration methods, not only for treatment but also for prevention of diseases and epidemics.

Objectives:

 

 

 

 

1.    1.     Graduate competent and proficient pharmacists in the field of clinical pharmacy with the ability to provide medical and pharmaceutical services to patients based on global scientific references.

2.    2.    Enhance the role of pharmacists in improving public health and disease prevention through education and training.

3.     3.    Improve patient health and well-being by facilitating the availability of safe and effective medications.

4.     4.    Actively contribute to local and national leadership in line with the departments, colleges, universities, and profession's mission and visions.

5.     5.    Provide evidence-based care that enhances drug utilization in all healthcare facilities.

6.     6.    Enhance healthcare outcomes through partnerships with patients, healthcare providers, healthcare workers, policymakers, and healthcare plans.

7.     7.    Provide educational programs for the general public.
