Quality Assurance Section

   

 Quality Assurance and  Academic Accreditation Section:

   Structure of the Section:

   The Section consists of the Director of the Section, the Head of the Quality Assurance, Accreditation Unit and lab accreditation.

                                                        

Tasks of Quality Assurance Unit:

1.Reviewing and updating the College's strategy, mission and strategic objectives in the light of developments and modernization of higher education.

2.Following-up and implementing of the College's plan with regard to quality assurance in order to get the college academic accreditation, which enhances the quality of the educational process in the college.

3. Instilling  awareness among faculty members, students and all the staff of the faculty regarding the  importance of applying the system of quality assurance and accreditation and consolidating the information related to mechanisms of quality assurance and accreditation.

4.Establishing the rules, and procedures for monitoring and follow-up of the implementation of quality assurance and accreditation standards.

5.Proposing university performance standards and quality control for the components of the educational process associated with the university professors, curricula, laboratories, college infrastructure, university students and performance evaluation processes.

6.Supervising the exchange of information with specialized educational institutions and comparing the standards applied in their universities with what is  applied to the college and develop them.

7.Proposing and developing procedures, rules and guidelines to develop and improve the performance, which contributes to ensure the quality of college performance.

 

Tasks of the Assessment of University Performance Unit:

1.Assessing the performance in the faculty and its departments and do what is necessary to determine the level of performance and its quality.

2.Establishing a database for all the activities of the college and its departments in order to follow up the development of the educational process.

3.Assisting the college through through the units of evaluating performance to conduct the self-evaluation studies and preparing and processing required for accreditation.

4.Accomplishing field studies and participating in field studies to match the output of education with the needs of the labor market as well as providing guidance in this aspect.

5.Ensuring that the college objectives are achieved by taking appropriate measures to evaluate its programs and outputs with different measurement means.

6.Providing technical advice to the departments of the College in the development and implementation of quality assurance systems and accreditation.

7.Establishing the necessary procedures for the implementation of quality assurance standards, on the basis of the requirements of quality and accreditation.

8.Providing technical advice regarding the implementation of performance and quality assurance systems.

9.Preparing periodic reports on the activity of the unit and submit them to the Department of Quality Assurance and  Academic Accreditation at the University.

10.Preparing and planning to follow up the self-evaluation of the activities of the College and its two departments and programs and follow-up implementation.

11.Accumulating the results of the self-assessment studies, analyzing them, explaining their strong and weak points, and provide the necessary proposals to develop and improve their performance.

 

Tasks of the Training and Technical  Support Unit:

1.Utilizing the results of the self-assessment of the performance of the college in guiding the inputs of the educational process and proposing appropriate means and methods for the development and continuous improvement of performance.

2.Working on the implementation of training courses and workshops that contribute to building the institutional capacity of the College.

3. Holding seminars and lectures to spread awareness to promote the culture of quality and development and continuous improvement in the performance of the College and its various departments.

4.Developing programs to constantly improve the quality of teaching, learning, scientific research and community service processes.

5.Working on the development of plans to improve the performance of the departments of the college that failed to achieve the required levels of quality, to overcome deficiencies in their performance and  do what is necessary to avoid them to achieve the required level of quality.

6.Working on the formation of faculty member trained cadres in the field of quality assurance and accreditation in the college and its various Department.

7.Preparing periodic reports on the work of the unit and submitting them to the Department of Quality Assurance.

8.Issuing brochures, pamphlets and manuals on support for quality assurance and accreditation.

9.Any other tasks assigned by the College to support the process of improving performance.

 

 

#Laboratory Accreditation Unit

The Tasks of the Unit:

1. The laboratory Accreditation unit is authorized of laboratory accreditation to the Colleges and Centers laboratories.

2. Follow-up the implementation of the requirements of international standards such.

3. To identify which laboratories are the best in a transparent and accurate way according to technical indicators that ensure the accuracy of the results of the evaluation of professional laboratories in Colleges.

4. The common encoding of laboratory equipment.

5. Follow-up of the supervision and rehabilitation of the laboratories of the Colleges in different fields of specialization away from the functions connected to consultancy bureaus, which are within the authority of the Ministry of Planning/ the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control.

 

Additional tasks:

1.A faculty member in the college.

 2.To do some of the tasks assigned to them by the Deanship  such as membership of some committees.
