Renewable Energy Research center holds a symposium under the title "Alternative Energy and its Applications"
The Renewable Energy Research Center at University of Anbar under the supervision of the Director of the Center, Dr. Esmat Ramzi Al-Hadithi, held a scientific symposium titled "Alternative Energy and its Applications" at the Symposium Hall at the Desert Studies Center on Thursday, 11-1-2018.
The symposium was attended by Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Taleb Al-Nida, who delivered a speech at the beginning of the symposium, representing the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Khalid Batal Al-Najm. He explained the importance of establishing such scientific symposium to find alternatives to serve the community.
The symposium was also attended by a number of deans of the colleges and representatives of the Directorate of the distribution of oil products in Anbar, and a number of professors and associates. The symposium included a number of topics, the first of which was to engineer Mohammed Saadoun Mohammed entitled (Alternative energy and economic feasibility). And the second topic (Nanomaterials and their applications in the field of alternative energy) by Dr. Mazen Abdel Hameed Abdelkader. The third topic was a research by Dr. Omar Mohamed Hassan entitled (Biogas using biogas as an alternative source of energy). The fourth topic included a paper for the Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Hamid Saleh entitled (Renewable energy sources and uses). And the last topic of the Assistant lecturer Adel Hassan Mahmoud entitled (calculation and design of solar energy systems).
The symposium had extensive discussions that enriched the symposium with a lot of information about alternative energy and how to invest it in the current stage to rationalize electricity consumption. The symposium concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
