1- Undergraduate Laboratories

Geology section has several laboratories for the undergraduate studies. Each laboratory comprehends 20 students. Theses labs are well furnished with different glassware and some other equipment distributed over the following labs.

a. Rocks and Mineral Lab contains different samples of igneous, sedimentary and converted rocks and minerals and polarized microscopes for studying slides.

b. Structural and Geomorphologic Lab is interested in studying morphological earth forms and analyzing the influential forces and contouring maps.

c. Fossils and Sediments Lab consist of animal and plant fossils to acquaint student with life development and species and phyla of the old life. The lab also, consists of isolation and sorting out equipment of sedimentary samples according to the size of the particles later classification in order to explain the methods of studying the sedimentary rocks and sediments.

d. Remote Sensing Lab: Remote sensing technique and geographic information system application throughout specialized software and acquainting student with modern techniques.

2- Computer Laboratory

Geology section has one computer lab which contains 22 modern computers. Students are trained on modern software and applications.
