Evaluation of microbiological and molecular of some fungal species and associated bacteria isolated from oral cavity in diabetic patients
Investigated the fungal and bacterial composition and antibiotic susceptibility in the oral cavities of diabetic patients using conventional tests, biochemical VITEK-2 compact system and using PCR amplification of 18s rRNA of isolates and 16 s rRNA of bacteria isolates, sequence matching in NCBI and applying phylogenetic tree.
identified using both conventional and modern methods: Pantoea spp, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella oxytoca, Proteus mirabilis, Enterobacter cloacae complex. The antibiotic drug imipenem was found to be the most effective in treating these isolates, as determined by the disc diffusion method.
