In the presence of the respected Governor of Anbar, Dr. Ali Farhan Al-Dulaimi, and under the patronage of the President of Anbar University, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nida, and under the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emad Abdul Rihman Muhammad Salih, the activities of the annual festival (Fourth Cultural Week of the College) were launched today, Tuesday, May 10, 2022. The festival opened with a scientific lecture on “Investment Opportunities for Renewable Energy in Anbar Governorate,” which was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Abu al-Tayeb, a retired geologist, in which he explained the importance of clean energy uses and ways to obtain it, especially since the university and the governorate are striving to switch to using this energy. Equipping several scientific laboratories with solar energy in order to rationalize the consumption of electrical energy and preserve the environment from pollution. The opening lecture was attended by the assistant president of the university, a number of officials and specialists in this aspect, and a number of researchers and interested persons.
The first day of the college’s fourth cultural week included a number of activities for students, the highlight of which was the exhibition of graduation research posters for students of the Physics Department and various bazaars, including handicrafts, paperwork, sewing, various and various drawing boards, accessories, pastries, a bazaar for silhouette plants, in addition to questions and answers sections, wood engraving, and book exhibitions. In addition to a number of scientific experiments for students, such as knowledge of blood types, methods of blood withdrawal and some chemical activities, the festival also included a large number of visitors inside and outside the college.
It is worth mentioning that the fourth cultural week of the college will last for five days, and there will be various paragraphs and activities, including scientific lectures, including awareness sessions on the importance of afforestation, early detection of diseases, domestic violence, ancient human civilizations, poems, plays and many other activities.
