Discussion Of A Doctoral Thesis For Student ( Hamssa Adnan Ali )

The public discussion of the doctoral student - (Hamssa Adnan Ali ) from the Department of Physics at the College of Science - University of Anbar took place on Thursday, 16/6/2022 at Jaber bin Hayyan Hall in the College of Science for her tagged thesis:

(Characterizations of physical properties synthesized silver nanoparticles and studying their effect on the levels of some criteria in the blood of rats).

Aim of the Work

-Synthesis of silver nanoparticles from silver nitrate solution by using non-thermal microplasma at atmospheric pressure and studying the effect of concentrations and time of plasma exposure on the particle size.

- Studying the effect different doses and treatment duration of synthesized silver nanoparticles on some blood parameters in female rats.

As for the results, silver nanoparticles were characterized using optical and structural properties. The UV-VIS spectrum for Ag nanoparticles solution shows that it has peaks in the visible region located between (390-422) nm, The XRD pattern of prepared silver nanoparticles shows a strong peak is observed at (2?= 38.1°), the other peak (2? = 44.27°), assigned to the formation of cubic silver nanoparticle. The FESEM measurement of Ag nanoparticles showed a homogeneous pattern structure , the particle size is variable and within the range of (17−55) nm and the Ag nanoparticles was spherical nanoparticles. In the application , the effect of the Ag nanoparticles has been studied on the levels of Fe, Na, Ca, Cl, Creatine, Urea, ALB, GPT, CK and LDH in the blood of female rats.
