The terminal station in Haditha is the first research station at Anbar University, which was created by our research center near the Haditha Dam on the Euphrates River in cooperation with the Haditha dam office and the district Mayor office. The ownership of 36 dunums with the buildings established in the Haditha dam project was transferred from the Ministry of Irrigation to the Ministry of Higher Education to establish a research center. The two buildings were rehabilitated by the efforts of our research center and its relations with the Mayor office of Haditha district. The new site was fenced , rehabilitated and furnished on the expense of Mayor office of Haditha district.

The University of Al-Anbar has dual benefited from this site through the opening of the Faculty of Basic Education in Haditha on the land of this site, which was originally designed as a research center in addition to the establishment of the first research terminal station of the University.

The station has been equipped with a field laboratory, weather station and two plastic greenhouses for research purposes. It also includes a unique plant to measure subsurface soil evaporation designed by the center's manager and manufactured in the local market. The station is currently staffed by a researcher and one staff member.

In order to develop and activate this station, it must be supported by the relevant research resources.
