The western plateau in Iraq is characterized by the diversity of soils, minerals and rocks and its abundance. It is rich in high-purity glass sand, which is the raw material for the glass and crystal industries. It also contains limestone, dolomite, phosphate, kaolin, sand, gravel and sedimentary iron. Recent studies have pointed to the presence of oil and natural gas in large quantities. The Center of Desert Studies at Anbar University has enriched this subject in many of its scientific seminars. This research unit will coordinate its research and studies with the Center of Desert Studies so that there is no intersection. but investment is optimized to extract and manufacture those metals.
