University of Anbar is part of the team charged with studying and determining the path of the green belt in the province

The University of Anbar, represented by Professor Dr. Nihad Mohammed Abboud, Director of Desert Studies Center, and Professor Dr. Ammar Hatem Kamel, Director of the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center participated in the work of the team charged with studying and determining the path of the green belt in Anbar province proposed to reduce dust storms resulting from climate change taking place in the world.

The team began its work under the chairmanship of Mr. Deputy Governor for Agricultural Affairs and Services Professor Muhannad Hamid Mohammed, and includes representatives of the province, the Office of Environment, the Office of Forestry, Desertification control office, groundwater office, the Federation of Industrialists and Businessmen, as well as University of Anbar. The team began its activity with a field visit to Kubaisa district to see the proposed path, where an extended meeting was held in the building of the district directorate, which included the team in addition to the district manager and the police command and security forces to study the proposal and ensure the success of the project.

It is worth mentioning that University of Anbar, based on the guidance of the university presidency to be one of its priorities and strategic plans to strengthen and support its role in the service of the community, the university and its formations participate in most of the activities for services and development in the province was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the university and the province and active participation in the ISO energy team and reducing emissions through the Renewable Energy Research Center and the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center as well as the Green Belt team created by the Center for Desert Studies and the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center in addition to Many other activities.
