Panel Discussion on the Definition of the Code of Conduct

As part of the series of ongoing activities held by the Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre at University of Anbar, a panel discussion was held on Tuesday, 27/2/2024, tagged: (Code of Conduct for Teachers), which was presented by Assistant Instructor Abdul Karim Ali Abdullah, at the centre’s event hall.

The Code of Conduct is defined as a document that guides teachers to the behavioural controls that must be followed to besides professional behaviour such as respect for the law, impartiality, integrity, honesty, discipline ... etc.

One of the most important aspects of the panel discussion was the ongoing activities to raise awareness in the field of human resources development, which consists of: (respect for the law, honesty, discipline, integrity, and neutrality at work). The basic items in the aspects (administrative, educational and scientific) were also addressed, in addition to mentioning the most important principles and foundations on which the code of conduct is built, which included: (honesty, honesty and ethics, efficiency and development, transparency, academic freedom, participation and interaction, integrity, justice and fairness, impartiality and objectivity, mutual respect, truth itself and for it, and professional commitment), as well as talking about the function of codes of conduct, and their negative and positive repercussions on career work in state institutions.

At the end, the floor was opened for discussions, which affected the value of the scientific material that was talked about.
