The return of depressions and rainfall to Iraq during the next week

The Upper Euphrates Basin Developing Centre - University Anbar announced the weather forecast for the coming week, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassam Mukhlif, a climate expert in the Natural Resources Development Department at the Centre, said that Iraq will be exposed during the next week to hopefully to a state of atmospheric instability as a result of being affected by air depressions as follows:

Sunday, 7/4/2024: The Red Sea depression enters the southern and western parts of the country and will be of medium effectiveness if the feeding range of the cold basin continues in the pressure range of 500 millibars, and the rains will gradually move to include the north-eastern parts of the country.

Monday, 8/4/2024: The condition is good in the cold basin and the state of rain with thunderstorms in the northern regions and the south-eastern parts of the country.

Tuesday, 9/4/2024: In the daytime, the weather will be clear, then at night the activity of the depression will be renewed, which enters the country from the western side.

Wednesday, 10/4/2024: The depression deepens to include the western parts, the northern region and the eastern parts of the country, accompanied by thunderstorms and rain of varying intensity.

Thursday, 11/4/2024: The activity of the depression is renewed in the northern and western region of the country, while in the southern region, its impact is weak.

Note - The weather condition is changing as this season (season of rapid weather fluctuations).
