The reality of Iraq's local, regional, and global environment led to the creation of the Department of Future Studies and Crisis Management at the Centre for Strategic Studies at University of Anbar. Iraq's and the region's political, security, and economic events and phenomena have highlighted the significance of future studies and the Crisis Management Department's ability to stay up to date on political developments, create scenarios for the future to foresee them, and offer suggested solutions and strategic options to mitigate the effects of crises and events on the Iraqi environment.
