About the College

 The College of Dentistry was established in the academic year 1992-1993 to join the faculties of Anbar University in the academic year 1993-1994, where the first class graduated in the academic year 1997-1998, which consisted of 18 dentists. Let the College continue its giving and support the scientific process with graduates who hold a bachelor’s degree, despite the circumstances that have struck and the province as part of the circumstances faced by our dear country, out of the College’s keenness to keep pace with the scientific process and meet the needs of society by providing health personnel.

 
The College of Dentistry is located in the center of the city of Ramadi, overlooking the ancient Euphrates River and near Ramadi General Hospital. The college consists of several buildings of varying sizes and architectural designs according to the college’s needs, in addition to beautiful and spacious green spaces that give the college a picturesque view, in addition to a group of parking lots.
 
The college buildings include the deanship building and the administrative departments attached to it. The second building is the classroom building, which also includes laboratories for the basic sciences taught in the college. In addition to these two buildings, the college includes a large building in the shape of the letter (H), which indicates the first letter of The word hospital in the English language is the teaching hospital of the College of Dentistry / Anbar University.
 
The college adopts the English language in teaching its scientific curricula and academic courses and includes many specialized branches in dentistry, such as dental treatment, dental industry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontal and periodontal diseases, oral and maxillofacial diseases, dental prevention, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and dental medicine. Oral, as well as community medicine, crowns, bridges, root canals, basic principles of biology, physics, general chemistry and biochemistry as part of the bachelor's degree requirements.
 
Postgraduate studies were opened at the College of Dentistry / Anbar University in the academic year 2023-2024 in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery branch in order to obtain a master’s degree in the specialty of oral surgery. The college seeks to expand academically and open postgraduate studies in several other specialized fields in the future.
 
  The college contains many large Teaching Halls equipped with the latest advanced presentation facilities. The college also contains study laboratories for basic sciences in biology, microbiology, chemistry, physics, physiology, and histology, in addition to specialized laboratories for dental anatomy, dental training laboratories, and a phantom laboratory for training in dental treatment, crowns, and bridges. In an effort to expand the scientific and academic process, a research laboratory was established, equipped with the latest scientific equipment and histopathological diagnosis methods, in order to develop educational personnel and keep pace with the great scientific development in the fields of medicine, diagnosis and treatment.
 
The college adopts a policy of self-development through the college's continuing education unit and focuses on holding many seminars, courses, discussions, and workshops for the college's professional and academic staff. The college also includes a medical library containing more than 500 methodical books and auxiliary resources for the educational process and a large number of medical periodicals and magazines specialized in branches of dentistry. The college pursues technological development through the presence of the electronic library to keep pace with science and access to local and international research. Our college seeks to implement quality assurance and accreditation programs. Academic, developing curricula, and creating postgraduate studies to develop and improve the college’s performance as a step towards obtaining academic accreditation that enhances the quality of the educational process.
