Sponsored by A. Dr. Mushtaq Taleb Salih Al-Nada, the esteemed President of University of Anbar, the Renewable Energy Research Center participated in the scientific symposium that was held in the Department of Electrical Engineering and in cooperation with the Electricity of Anbar Governorate and the Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center at the University of Anbar under the title: -

 ((Electricity between a bitter reality, solutions and future visions))

It was held on Tuesday, corresponding to 3/22/2022, in the presence of the Director of the Renewable Energy Research Center, Prof. Wissam Hashim Khalil and Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs Dr. Mohammed Abdel Ahmed and Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs m. Dr. Maath Jassem Mohammad, Eng. Issam Karim Hammadi, Director of Planning Department in Anbar Electricity Department, Eng. Saadi Jassem Hammadi, Director of Technical Affairs for East Anbar Electricity Distribution Branch, Director of Upper Euphrates Basin Development Center, Prof. Ammar Hatem and the head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Latif Abbas, heads of electrical departments.

 The symposium aims to provide the appropriate environment for specialists and researchers in the field of electrical engineering, to invest the engineering capabilities in advancing the production of electrical energy by diagnosing the most prominent obstacles and recommending possible solutions.

 The sessions of the symposium, chaired by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Latif Abbas and rapporteur Dr. Mushtaq Najib Ahmed.

Where the symposium dealt with the reasons that led to the decline in electricity generation, quick and long-term solutions to address the significant deterioration in the electrical system, and future solutions for the use of renewable energy in addressing the deterioration of the generation system.

During the symposium, several lectures were delivered by a number of professors, engineers, specialists within the symposium's themes, namely: -

 * The reasons that led to the decrease in the generation of electricity and the weakness in the distribution system.

* Quick and long-term solutions offered in addressing the significant deterioration in the electrical system.

* Future solutions based on the use of clean energy to address the deterioration of the generation system.

 At the end, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the lecturers participating in the symposium.
