Selection two of graduation project to participate in the annual creative forum

A scientific committee was formed to nominate undergraduate project students at the College of Engineering. The committee was composed of the Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs, the heads of the scientific departments, and the presence of Dr. Abdulrahman Jumaa, the Dean of the College, on Thursday, May 4, 2023.
Six research project representing the best of the five scientific departments at the College of Engineering were discussed by the students and the committee. After presenting the research papers and discussing them with the committee, the committee chose two papers (1st nominate and 2ed nominate) at the level of the College of Engineering. The chosen project were supervised by teaching staff and researchers at the Renewable Energy Research Center.
The first research project from the Electrical Engineering department entitled "Implement Real Artificial human Hand based on Surface EMG Signal". The research idea was to accurately measure hand signals and accurately design the arm to compensate for human limbs. The arm was designed and manufactured using a 3D printer, in addition to using electronic components and programming them at the Renewable Energy Research Center, prepared by students

The second project from the Mechanical Engineering department title "Design and Construction of Smart Vehicle Speed Breaker that Generates Electric Power". The research idea aimed to design and construct a model for a speed bump capable of generating electrical energy from the movement of vehicles, in addition to using modern and intelligent sensors to manage the energy to reuse it in traffic signals and road lighting.
