Renewable Energy Research Center Wins Graduation Research Symposium at Al-Anbar University

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nida, President of Al-Anbar University, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Muthanna Mohammed Awad, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, the Student Affairs and Registration Department at the University held the 11th Creative Forum for Graduation Research for the academic year 2022-2023 in the Martyrs Hall.
The forum included the discussion of graduation research papers by the appointed scientific committee. Eighteen under graduation research project were presented, covering all faculties of the university. Among them were thirteen papers in scientific disciplines and five papers in humanities. The scientific committee voted on the winning research project. The College of Engineering, along with the Renewable Energy Research Center, secured the first place among the scientific departments, while the College of Medicine and the College of Dentistry secured the second and third places, respectively.

The College of Engineering, in collaboration with the Renewable Energy Research Center, presented a research project entitled "Implementing a Real Artificial Human Hand Based on Surface EMG Signal." The research idea focused on accurately measuring hand signals and designing a precise arm to compensate for human limbs. The practical part of the research involved designing and manufacturing the arm using a 3D printer, along with the use of electronic components and programming under the supervision of Assist. L. Nizar Esmit Sino, a lecturer at the Renewable Energy Research Center. The research was conducted by the following students:
- Waleed Khalid Hameed
- Fahad Saleh Mohammed
- Alaa Nofel Abdul-Khaleq
The top winners, who secured the first places in the 24th Forum of the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity, organized by the Arab Universities Union and held in the Sultanate of Oman, will also participate.
At the end of the forum, the certificates of appreciation and trophies were distributed by the university president to the members of the scientific and humanities committees, as well as to the winning students in the forum.
