In celebration of International Women's Day

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Human Sciences, Professor Dr. Taha Ibrahim Shabib, and on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Women’s Affairs Unit held a central celebration in the college on Monday, 3/18/2024, at ten in the morning, in the Abu Al-Barakat Al-Anbari Hall.

The festival began with a speech by the Dean of the College, in which he said: International Women’s Day is a day to express their rights and their great role in society because they have endured many difficulties and are considered a distinguished icon in the process of humanitarian and academic work, and it is our duty to preserve their rights and place them in the position that befits them and their sacrifices.

Professor Dr. Saada Hamdi Suwaidan, head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college, said that the goal of the festival is to make International Women’s Day an annual tradition to raise the status of women in society and focus on their role in the progress of society and being the basic member who raises generations. Emphasis was placed on the role of educated university women.

The festival included several activities, including honoring the Dean of the College, the first sponsor and supporter of all activities held by the unit, and presenting a play praising the role of women in society, honoring the distinguished female employees, and honoring the College’s Media Division.
