The College of Agriculture / Anbar University in cooperation with the Foundation for Agricultural Development and Environment held a workshop entitled Palm Dates .... Reality and ambition.
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Anbar, Dr. Eng. Khalid Batal, the esteemed star and in the presence of the Assistant Professor Dr. Aref Saleh Makhlaf Al-Mehtaar. Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Mohammed Oweid Ghadeer Al-Obaidi, the College of Agriculture organized a workshop entitled "Palm Dates" (Reality and ambition) at 10 am on Tuesday, 20-3-2018 on the conference hall in the College The workshop was attended by a number of deans of the faculties and heads of administrative and scientific departments in the university as well as the presence of Gaff T of peasant figures and those interested in the cultivation of palm trees and the owners of agricultural farms in the province.
The workshop was started by reading verses from the Koran and reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the lives of the martyrs of Iraq.
 The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Oweid Ghadeer, gave a welcoming speech, in which he pointed out the importance of the workshop in light of the current conditions in Anbar province and ways to develop date palm cultivation in the province.
 Then, the Assistant Administrative Assistant Professor Dr. Aref Saleh Mukhlaf, a respected speech, in which he confirmed the support of Anbar University for all efforts to develop palm cultivation in the province.
The workshop witnessed three lectures, as follows:
The first lecture entitled (the reality of palm cultivation in Iraq and the use of tissue culture technology in the multiplication of the varieties of desirable varieties) and presented this lecture by Dr. Mohammed Khazal Hamid respected. While the second lecture entitled (palm pests in Iraq) presented by Dr. Hamoud Mahdi Saleh.
While the third lecture entitled (date industry between heritage and hope) provided by the school assistant Sarah Thamer Hadi.
On the sidelines of the workshop was the opening of an exhibition of dates manufactured and another exhibition of wall paintings that embodied the agricultural reality in Anbar province.
