Preparation of Urea Beads Coated with Banana Peels, Plastic and Natural Rubber Epoxide - 50

Assistant Prof. Dr. (Hamad K. Abdul Qadir) / Lecturer in the department presented a research that resulted in a study of urea pellets coated with both banana peels and natural oxidized rubber - 50 (ENR-50). In order to form small and homogeneous pores for the coating materials, three different salt compounds such as NaCl, MgCl₂ and MgSO₄ were used separately, the study between three different payloads for each salt, the interaction between the salts and each of the coating materials was verified by means of spectroscopy by infrared Fourier (FTIR). The FTIR spectra showed the tops of the samples and identified the active groups present in the samples. The ENR-50 was detected at the peak 876 cm -1 while the CH3 reading appeared at the peak 1472 cm -1. However, the peak was overlapped at 1470 cm -1. Bio-Plastic Banana peels contain a high amount of starch and can increase absorption readings. Thus, it helps to increase the nutrients that plants eat.
