Geology Section Objectives

1- Preparing specialists in the field of earth sciences with its various applications to meet the needs of society.

2- Preparing scientific researchers by using basic theories and concepts in accordance with university standards and enabling them to transfer information easily. And twinning with corresponding departments in prestigious international universities to develop advanced academic research programs

3- The graduate will acquire modern practical skills to deal with global scientific technologies.

4- Studying the economic potentials in Iraq and methods of investing them by spreading the culture of academic and research cooperation between the teaching staff and students with solid academic research institutions.

5 And alsoThe department aims to prepare specialized cadres in various geological fields, which include the fields of mineral and engineering investigations, investigation of oil, gas, the environment, and the study of landforms for various uses. The department has been interested in introducing new academic vocabulary that suits the geological and mineral situation of Anbar Governorate.
