Information Technology Division
The Information and Technology Division was established in the college in 2023 within the organizational structure of the College of Science, in accordance with University Order No. (No. 8493 dated 10/17/2023). The Division is concerned with providing technical services to all scientific departments, divisions, and units in the College of Science. It is responsible for following up and providing Internet service and addressing all types of technical, artistic and programming problems for all computers and accessories in the college, providing all solutions to outstanding problems and preventing the presence of obstacles in front of employees for the sake of continuity and continuity of giving and technical and administrative work in the college. Vision That the Information Technology Division perform its service role by working to provide innovative information and communications technology services in order to achieve the aspirations of the university and society and to enable the scientific departments, divisions and various units of the college to use modern technology and educational and academic programs to benefit all beneficiaries of students, teachers and employees. The message Commitment to providing information and communications technology requirements through activities in the field of academic computing to create a broad work base that bears the responsibility of advancing the reality of information technology for development, training, research and consultation based on quality foundations in support of institutional capacity in terms of speed, ease and efficiency of decision-making at all levels. Objectives The Information Technology Division in the College of Science is considered one of the effective and important divisions. The Information Technology Division seeks to implement and develop educational, academic and administrative programs using the latest methods of information technology and communications technologies based on the keenness of the Deanship of the College to automate the college’s systems and transfer the college’s work to the electronic system in line with the established administrative systems. In most reputable international universities and institutions, for the purpose of providing services to all branches of the college, including students, faculty members, and administrative staff, this division aims to: -1 Providing Internet service for all buildings affiliated with the College of Science, and monitoring and maintaining Internet lines periodically. 2- Working to organize conferences held by the College of Science, by providing technical support to the conference organizing committees, organizing conference proceedings, and sending certificates of appreciation to residents. 3- Work on designing leaflets, brochures, and pictures for training courses, workshops, and designs for the college conference, among others. 4- Performing regular maintenance on computers and various office accessories and providing immediate solutions to sudden problems in these devices. 5- Work to create e-mail addresses for all members, and cooperate with them to solve e-mail-related problems if they occur. -6 Working to develop the College of Science’s website, and updating its content periodically. -7 Working to provide software solutions to meet the college’s requirements, such as electronic archiving programs and others. -8 Working to hold training courses to train college staff to use technology in their daily tasks.
