Discussion of a master thesis by the student (Anwaar Abid Sayil) from the Dept. of Biology
A master's thesis was discussed at Anbar University - College of Science and tagged (The level of vitamin D and its relation to body mass index and some physiological variables in a sample of healthy individuals in Anbar province).
The aim of the study was submitted by the student (Anwaar Abid Sayil) from the Department of Biology to evaluate the relationship of vitamin D levels in the blood with body mass index, irisin, parathormone, and calcitonin in a sample of males of a young age group.
The results showed a significant decrease in the level of vitamin D, and a negative association was found between vitamin D and body mass index, and a positive correlation between the hormone irisin and body mass index.
