Field work course for students of the Department of Applied Geology

 

In the name of God and with His blessing, the activities of the field work course for students of the Department of Applied Geology in the College of Science, University of Anbar, began. The course included choosing the Shaqlawa / Erbil area as a model to train students on geological experiments and increase their field skills in analyzing and classifying different forms of geological terrain. The fieldwork course is an essential methodological part of the study of earth sciences and a condition of graduation for students of the Department of Applied Geology. The work included the third and fourth stage students under the supervision of the field work committee of the department’s teaching staff. On the first day, the students were distributed into groups to facilitate field measurements and familiarize them with the mechanism, equipment and place of study. Therefore, the department's presidency annually carries out this scientific activity in order to enhance the practical and scientific aspect of our dear students.
