The public discussion of a master’s student (Tayseer Thamer Ahmed), Department of Chemistry - College of Science - University of Anbar, took place on Thursday 16/8/2021 at Jaber Bin Hayyan Hall in the College of Science for his tagged thesis :-

 ((Synthesis and characterization of V(IV), V(V), and Fe(II) complexes with bidentate donor ligands)). 

The study aims to Synthesizes of VO(II), V(V) and Fe(II) complexes with bidentate ligands in different mole ratio.

•        Synthesizes mixed–ligands complexes of VO(II), V(V) and Fe(II) using 3APy, 6AMPy, PPi, DTO, 8HQ and Ox as ligands.

•        Characterization of the synthesized complexes by using different spectroscopic techniques (FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H-NMR and GC- Mass) along with molar conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements.

•        DFT calculation of some VO(II) complexes and study their properties.
