The public discussion of the master’s student (Bilal Amer Rafea), Department of Chemistry - College of Science - University of Anbar, took place on Monday, 30/8/2021 in the Graduate Studies Hall in the Department of Biology - College of Science about his thesis tagged: -

((Alterations in lipids profile and liver functions after cholecystectomy of people in Anbar governorates))

The study included measuring the parameters of lipids and enzymes to estimate changes in metabolism of lipids and the levels of liver enzymes after removing the gallbladder due to inflammation or obstruction by gallstones.

Aim of the study:

To identify the state of lipid metabolism and liver function after cholecystectomy and the correlation between lipid metabolism and liver function in patients.

The digestive process depends on the bile stored in the gallbladder and the selection of hepatic enzymes to identify the functional state of the liver after the removal of the gallbladder, as it is part of the liver where it is functionally related to it.

The results shows that there was no significant increase in the age, sex and BMI , while there was a significant increase in the levels of serum parameters of GOT,GPT,ALP,TSB,GGT,TG,HDL,LDL and VLDL.
