(( Study of Kinetics retention of some heavy metal ions using poly Hydroxamic acid chelating))

The study aims to prepare hydroxamic acid from a polymer such as metha acrylate and from (styrene-methyl metha acrylate) and diagnose poly hydroxamic acid using spectroscopic methods, and study the holding capacity of poly hydroxamic acid prepared in withdrawing element ions from aqueous solutions. heavy metallic.

The study included the preparation of poly styrene-methyl metha acrylate using free radicals and the preparation of methyl metha acrylate.  and diagnostics of polymers using FT-IR and HNMR. The prepared polymers were converted to poly(methyl metha acrylate) hydroxamic acid and poly(styrene- methyl methacrylate) hydroxamic acid in alkaline medium and thermal sublimation was performed for 83 hours, and the compounds were diagnosed using FT-IR spectroscopy.

The retention capacity of Fe2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Zn2+ ions was determined by means of poly-methyl methacrylate) and poly(styrene-methyl metha acrylate), as well as studying the effect of acidity function, time and temperature on the retention capacity of ions studied by the prepared acid. Also, Arrhenius and Vant Hof equations were used to study adsorption using different concentrations. And the study of thermodynamic functions shows from the values of the heat of retention of ions that the process of detention is an exothermic process, and from the values of negative ∆G̊ and positive ̊̊S that the process of detention of ions is spontaneous.
