Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Emad Abdul Rihman Muhammad Salih, the Dean of the College of Science held a celebration today, Wednesday, 9/3/2022, on the occasion of International Women's Day, which falls on March 8 of each year.

The celebration was attended by Dr. Nassra Uhmaid Jadoua, Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Dr. Zina Mahmoud Al-Sabti, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Esraa Adnan Abdul Jalil, Head of the Affairs Committee, the Dean's assistants and heads of scientific departments, and a large number of female teachers and students of the college.

The celebration was opened with the recitation of verses from the Noble Qur’an and the Iraqi national anthem. After that, the Dean of the College of Science delivered a speech on the occasion in which he congratulated women on their International Day and praised the pivotal role of women in building the family and society and its advancement and progress, and expressed his pride in Iraqi women for their advanced role in society and in all fields, noting that women are the Whoever elevates this life to degrees of beauty and purity, and it is not only half of society, it is the whole society, it is the one who educates and educates all members of society, it is an example of patience and it is the mother, sister and ideal wife

In conclusion, the Dean of the College of Science honored a group of distinguished faculty and female employees and a number of outstanding students.

For their part, Dr. Yousra Mahmoud Hammadi presented the gift of the female teachers to the Dean, and the representative of the female students presented the gift of the students to the Dean.

On the sidelines of the celebration, a bazaar was held for various handicrafts, accessories, sweets and drawings, as well as a collection of literary and historical books.

 On the one hand, the Dean of the College praised the active role of the college students for their efforts, congratulating the organizers of the ceremony on this achievement.
