Vision, Mission and Objectives

Vision

The Department of Arabic at the College of Arts seeks to advance linguistic and literary knowledge and interest in the history of literature, as well as keeping pace with cultural and cognitive development, modern literary theories, critical approaches and philosophies that produced them in an educational and cultural manner in an effort to serve Iraqi society and develop education at all levels.

Mission

The Department of Arabic at the College of Arts looks forward to preparing a generation that is literary and cultural in line with the requirements of the stage and linked to the Arab and Islamic intellectual heritage through:

1. Working on preparing teachers and researchers who will take upon themselves the advancement of the scientific reality in Iraq and the preservation and care of the language of ??d  in a manner that serves the integrity of this ancient language.

2. Developing cognitive and behavioral skills within its framework, by building perceptions and taking measures to prepare educational staff and develop education at all levels.

3. Preparing educational research in a way that helps in the production of educational knowledge and the development of policies and programs that serve the community and its development.

Objectives

1. Raising the scientific and literary level in the Arabic language specialization.

2. Raising a generation that is knowledgeable and lover of Arabic language sciences.

3. Preserving the integrity of the Arabic language from foreign words.

4. Promoting students to the highest levels of language, including speaking the classical language.

5. Providing the rest of the departments with Arabic language to enable students to understand the language and its methods.
