The Faculty of Basic/Haditha Education Council held its fifth regular session for the academic year 2023-2024 today, Sunday, March 31, 2024, at 1:30 PM. The session was chaired by the honorable Dean of the College, Dr. Mazhar Abdul Ali, in the presence of all council members. He welcomed everyone and then the attendees discussed the directives of the honorable Minister and the honorable University President issued during the last university council meeting. They emphasized the importance of implementing these instructions in a way that serves the educational process. The Dean then clarified his directives to council members on important college matters that enhance its progress and development. One of the key points was the obligation for department heads to monitor faculty members regarding publishing research in international databases such as Scopus and Clarivate, as this benefits the researchers and enhances academic standards as part of rigorous scientific evaluation procedures.

Before the meeting concluded, Dr. Khalid Dafik Ahmed, the head of the accreditation unit, was hosted. The Dean welcomed him and discussed with the council the programmatic accreditation criteria, completion requirements, and necessary tasks. Dr. Khalid concluded the meeting by thanking and praising everyone for their attendance and serious discussion on the presented topics.
