  Introduction

The department of electrical engineering was established in 2004 and it was the third founded department after Civil, Mechanical, Dams and Water Resources departments in the University of Anbar.

The department started with four staff members, two PhD and two master’s degrees, and forty students. Today, it consists of twenty-seven staff members, thirteen PhD holders, twelve master’s degree holders, and two currently are abroad pursuing their PhD degree, and more than two hundred students.

We are celebrating the graduation of the thirteenth course, which increases the number of graduates to become more than three hundred graduate. The department has been providing all the Iraqi ministries and companies with efficient electrical engineers.

The department has a good selection of staff members who are experienced in education and most of them have obtained their degrees from solid international universities and have published at least 150 articles in local and international journals.
